Walden Ponds Qualifier - August 10th, 2025
This is the Cincy North Qualifier held at Walden Ponds Golf Course at 6090 GOLF CLUB LN, HAMILTON, OH 45011.
Participants must have an active place of employment, or residence within 60.0 miles of the course. Please read the rules below.
RULES
Chatterbox Championship will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. Outliers will be noted below.
Participant Restrictions
Participants must have an active address of either their residence or employment of 60 miles of the qualifier course address.
No Professional experience of any kind within the past 3,650 days of qualifier.
No Active Collegiate Players
No NIL Amateurs within the past 3,650 days of qualifier.
In the spirit of our mission - Our goal is to provide a local, weekend warrior competition. Thus eliminating those who would have a significant advantage.
Format & Layout
2 Person Scramble
Co-Ed Teams (Men,Women, Super Seniors (70+) are accepted.
Women & Super Senior Tees will be reduced by 500 yards in front of Mens Tees. Expected length of Men Tees will be 6400-6800 yards.
Rules
Handicaps are not required, and will not be used - despite Squabbit scoring app asking or requiring handicpap.
Each player will tee off, and select which shot to hit. Both players hit, and proceed process until the putt is holed. (2 Person Scramble)
All putts must be holed. No Gimmie.
Players may improve their lie within a “scorecard”. Restrictions being the fringe & green surface type.
Players may not move their ball from one surface type to another. (ie. from rough to semi rough- or semi rough to fairway)
Ball touching two surface types at once, may be played from preferred type.
Women & Super Seniors (70+) may play from the forward tees.
Players must mark ball on either side when putting to ensure the second played putt does not get any closer to the hole, and is played from nearly identical spot as first. No Mulligans
Double Bogey max
Championship Format will be Match Play - 2v2 9 Holes, with winners playing final 9 holes in match play format for grand prize.

$100K Grand Prize
Winning team will be awarded a grand prize of $100,000 with a full field at qualifiers. Otherwise participants will receive 100% of net proceeds from qualifying entries.
Ties will be settled on the sudden death "Par 3 Challenge Hole". If a winner is not determined after 2 attempts, a sudden death CTP tee shot will determine the winner.
Commisioner Trace Fowler will have final say on all matters.
